Carey who's 5'10 she was a popular American models for fashion. Designers of the top calibre, including Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren were awestruck by her. Her father was the world-renowned geologist, who in 1979 was named Scientist of the Year by the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. In the course of his work, Carey has been raised across the globe. When she finished her studies at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, she started modeling on the side. It caught the attention of a Ford Model Agency New York. The model moved to France in the year 1980, and lived briefly in Paris as well as Bordeaux before deciding to return to New York to continue with her college education and modeling career and was soon being featured on the cover of Vogue, Glamour, etc. In between modeling assignments, she studied the study of literature during her time at New York University. When she began studying acting in the Neighborhood Playhouse, New York, her interest in acting increased. Her first acting experience was in a role with Robin Williams in the 1986 film "Club Paradise. Her leisure time is spent in wind surfing, skiing, rock climbing and white water rafting.
